In Clothing, Lifestyle on July 21, 2009 at 12:11 am
What is the worst thing people still try to wear? And what would you never put on? I was asking these questions silently when I saw a quite handsome young man wearing socks in his sandals. And again when I approached an elderly woman in long summer dress with pink floral pattern, a red handbag and blue hair. Her hair really had a bluish tinge. And she was around sixty. Tell me, does such things happen abroad too, or just in my country? Read the rest of this entry »

A lot of fashion websites are nowadays concerned with “the hottest trends” for summer 2009 so I felt a little obliged to write something about it. To be honest, I have never been a “fashion-conscious” person and I didn’t care much for something like fashion trends but when I started to write about fashion and got some knowledge about this topic, I began to fell interested:-) Read the rest of this entry »

In Lifestyle on June 8, 2009 at 6:46 pm
This is what I really hate: stereotypes about beauty and emaciated models in today’s magazines and advertisements. Do you really think that men like women so thin that you can see bones under their skin? I don’t really know why we do such terrible things to ourselves. Being a woman is wonderful and I can’t understand why almost everyone of us want to lose weight, needs to buy expensive make-up and stop eating “normal” food.

In Lifestyle on June 7, 2009 at 2:50 pm
There are so many things that shouldn’t be worn at all:-) You have certainly seen many examples of a bad choice of clothes or makeup just walking down the streets of your city or meeting people at work – some people seem not to have seen themselves in the mirror for some time.
I can’t say whether there are countries where people dress more properly than somewhere else – I have always heard about a stereotypical image that French and Italians are more interested in fashion and their image more than Americans or Germans. But I can’t agree with that – each of us is an individual and I believe that we can find a nicely dressed person in every part of the world.
So there are some things people should pay attention to when they are about to leave their house:-)

Hi, I would like to welcome you on my new website Fashio. My name is Lenka and I have been writing about fashion and lifestyle for some time, so I decided to create my own blog to share my knowledge and attitudes about design, clothes, style and many other things.
I want my blog to be different in many ways – as I have been writing for online magazines I found plenty of websites which dissapointed me a bit. All of them “forced” people to buy certain type of clothes, drove attention only to famous apparel brands and wrote about “attractive” emaciated models. On the other hand, I would like to support people’s individuality, analyse how we are able to gain self-confidence by wearing certain clothes and colours and highlight that beauty can have hundreds of different meanings.
So I hope that you will enjoy reading about fashion and lifestyle from a little different point of view and find some useful tips here.
